Note: All events in NM Mensa take place because someone has volunteered to host them. Any member of NM Mensa may initiate/host an event. To announce your activity, contact  Sharon Winters by the 15th of the prior month so she can forward it to the newsletter. Members, spouses, friends etc. are usually welcome to attend, as are prospective members. What do we do? Chat about almost anything! You'd be surprised about the range of knowledge and interests our members have.

This is the trailhead.  It takes about an hour+ to get to from Albuquerque. This trail is moderate to slightly strenuous as it involves a lot of uphill hiking but the scenery is great. Bring a camera, wear sturdy hiking boots, a backpack with snacks for lunch and several bottles of water. You might want a headband for sweat and a roll of toilet paper and some plastic bags as there are no toilets on the way. People with altitude problems, asthma or poor legs should not attempt this hike!  Kids (not toddlers) would probably have a ball.  Questions call Rudy at 828-3938 or Rudy11@comcast.net.
